Seats

The iCandy Orange is one of the most popular double buggies available, thanks to its superb comfort. It's an all-terrain vehicle, with soft suspension to make easy work of bumpy surfaces. It can accommodate a massive 30 seating configurations and comes with a built-in ride-on board for older kids who prefer walking as well as a 'cinema' seating mode which raises the back seat to allow for better visibility.
Alternatively, the phil&teds dot is a fantastic single buggy from the beginning that can then easily adapt to take 2 (or 3!) Multiple configurations are possible. This is especially helpful when you have a child in a car seat since the frame can be fitted with a wedgie to allow for optimal lying flat, or car seat adapters to a wider range of brands.
Suspension
The quality of the suspension in a 3 wheel double buggy is crucial to how it will be easy for you and your child to push. A smooth ride is crucial because babies feel every bump in the road, especially when it's on rough terrain such as grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models come with front tires that lock to aid in maneuvering and navigating obstacles like curbs.
Some models use air-filled tyres, which give you a great all-terrain adventure, but they could be susceptible to punctures, so ensure you have a spare set in the trunk. Folding
A three-wheel double buggy can be folded neatly to be stored. There are options that fold flat and then stand up (as when they were in a pushchair) as well as those that pop open to reveal more of an umbrella-like fold that has an electric brake. In general, the more wheels a buggy comes with, the easier it will be to maneuver over rough terrain. This is particularly relevant when the wheels are larger than average. This will provide you with more stability and reduce the chance that your child are likely to tip over or fall over.
A popular choice is the iCandy Wave, which can be used from birth using an infant car seat. It it can be converted into a side-byside double buggy when your child is old enough to allow them to sit next to each one. It's a light option that is easy to push. It also comes with a bumper bar and a raincover.
The phil&teds sports is an alternative option. It is a future-proof model as it's an excellent buggy and can be adapted to accommodate two (or three!) in its small footprint. It is an innovative three-wheel design that includes a sling for greater maneuverability and stability.
This is one of the best double buggies to jog in with your children. It comes with a front wheel that can be locked, which will help you maintain control on hills or off-road terrain. For something a little different and unique, the Joie Evalite Duo is a lightweight buggy that can accommodate twins from birth (it's open to the world and features a lie flat position). Its clever frame expands widthways to accommodate the additional seat, yet it weighs in at around 11kg, which makes it easy to move and lift. It can be used with a car seat, carrycot, or both. This lets you have the best of both worlds.
